Here is a game I built with GDevelop 4. I extended this tutorial by by komencanto to add audio functionality over Christmas break in 2016. I also added custom artwork from CC0 sources at Pixabay. Pixabay is a great resource for solo developers who don't have the privilege of working with a graphic artist.
I am sharing the GDevelop project here, under the same share and share alike license as the original tutorial, CC BY-SA 4.0. The audio files are named 1.mp3-12.mp3 and correspond to the images 1.png-12.png, which are 312 X 321 on a white background. If you don't have a big budget, I suggest giving GIMP a try for image editing. Here is the GDevelop project: DOWNLOAD GDevelop PROJECT HERE
At my day job, I used this framework to create a version of this game in the Tŝilhqot’in Language. By simply changing the artwork and audio in the project folder, you can create a functioning version in any language you’d like, without even dealing with GDevelop.
